By integrating with Endicia, Nexternal's online merchants are able to print USPS labels with postage directly from Nexternal's Order Management System. This greatly increases the efficiency of the fulfillment process for merchants that ship via the United States Postal Service.
USPS labels with postage can be printed on a thermal or inkjet printer. Tracking information is automatically fed into the Nexternal Order Management System at which point shipped notification emails are sent to the end consumer complete with tracking information. Merchants can also opt to use Endicia's stealth postage in the event that they don't want postage displayed to the consumer.
Prior to the Endicia integration, Nexternal clients could print USPS labels using the USPS Web Tools. However, postage was not included on the label and needed to be added manually by the merchant. Additionally, merchants didn't have the option of printing to a thermal printer which often speeds the fulfillment process.
Nexternal clients that opt to use Endicia will incur additional charges from Endicia itself for each label that is created. However, the additional cost is negligible compared to the time saving benefit.
With these online tools, fulfillment becomes efficient and errors become a thing of the past. Using USPS Track & Confirm, both merchant and customer can follow a package from the shipping dock all the way to the recipient's doorstep.

Needs a full-sheet label
From FunStuffForDogs.com of Dallas, Texas on .
I would like the Endicia Label server better if I could print the label on my regular computer printer without the label printing in the middle of the page. This requires me to use full-sheet pages (expensive) and then to cut the labels out with scissors (time-consuming). Until they figure out a way to set the printer settings for 2-up, 4-up and other popular size labels, I'm sticking with Stamps.com.

We frequently use the Endicia Label Server to print off USPS shipping labels from Nexternal. We have a Zebra LP2844 thermal printer and use the epl setting to print off thermal labels. This works great and saves us lots of money on ink costs. This app also works for all USPS services including international.
